Band Interviews from PAST PRESENT FUTURE SPACE-TIME

Tuesday, February 28th, 2012

Below are interviews with just a sample of the bands and artists that performed at PAST PRESENT FUTURE SPACE-TIME, the second one-day music festival to be held at Wysing Arts on September the 10th 2011.

In each interview we quiz the performers about their music, their influences and finally ask what is art?. But more importantly than that, we ask for a joke.

WARNING: Joke often very poor or bafflingly incomprehensible!

PAST PRESENT FUTURE SPACE-TIME explored the legacy of psychedelia; from 1960s counter culture movements, to mind expansion and alternative models for living.

The event included talks, discussions, screenings and family activity, as well as live music, hosted in specially created structures across Wysing’s 11-acre rural site.

PAST PRESENT FUTURE SPACE-TIME was programmed in partnership with Bad Timing, Strange Attractor, Electra and Escalator, with funding from Arts Council England, and built on the success of the previous year’s festival of artists’ music BE GLAD FOR THE SONG HAS NO END, curated by Andy Holden.

The full running order is given on the Wysing Arts Website.

More clips and information about PAST PRESENT FUTURE SPACE-TIME can be found at the festival tumbler site.

Mickfest

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011

Mickfest was a day long music festival celebrating the life of much loved musician and filmmaker Michael (Mick) Gillett who passed away this June 2011. The event was held at The Maltings, Ely on Saturday the 29th of October, 2011.

Here we present Mickfest a film documenting that musical and moving day.

We had some technical problem with our cameras during the filming and that did impact on the final edit. But love that all the musicians interviewed had for Mick still shines through.
